It’s something that should be done at least once in your lifetime. The longest day in Denmark has a remarkable 17 hours of daylight and long dusky periods. To experience Midsummer nigh,t also known as St John’s night or Sankt Hans Aftern, residents of demark head off to the beach and light bonfires whilst eating picnics and barbeques waiting for the light to dim. Several bonfires are lit along North Jutland’s coast. It’s a real family celebration; and there are food stalls, music and entertainment for all.
