It’s a common beauty problem that seems to plague many women, and it is especially bad during the winter months. Dark circles under eyes are bothersome and aging. And in a world where women are constantly bombarded with images of perfection, many of us are desperate for a solution to under eye circle problem that makes us look prematurely old and weary.
As we get older the skin around the delicate eye area becomes more fragile. Veins become weaker and the dark circles under eyes can be a result of the pooling of blood, giving a bluish or purple appearance. There are several things you can do reduce the appearance of dark under eye circles, but it does require a consistent approach.
On a superficial level you can drink more water and up you intake of antioxidants, and try and ensure that you get enough sleep. But if this is not enough (and it seldom is), you can try a combination of several other more intensive approaches.
Dark circles under eyes need a consistent treatment. You need a serious approach to see real improvement. The following is based on years of research:
Use the essential oils designed to have decongestant effect are effective treatments for the for the under eye area. Essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin, so be sure to find a propriety blend in a safe carrier oil.
Once the oil has been applied and absorbed, an eye gel (kept in the fridge) with light reflectors should be applied. Next an eye cream containing a light lilac hue or a yellow tone can be applied. A mixture of both to even out the skin tone can sometimes work best. And to follow, use a concealer pen to attack any outstanding problem areas.
To get the best dark circle under eyes treatment, find a vitamin K serum or cream. And look for vitamin K oral supplements . But do not take vitamin K if you are on any blood thinning medication. Vitamin K helps strengthen the walls of damaged and weak veins under the eye, and it also has a blood thinning effect to prevent pooling of blood in the dark under eye area, which increases the look of dark circles.
As an occasional pick me up treatment, use collagen gel on a cold compress. Not only will this feel great, but you eyes will appear younger and brighter.
Using all these treatments together will give you the very best chance to help eradicate or alleviate dark circles under the eyes, but tracking down products to do the job is not an easy task. As a sufferer of hereditary under eye dark circles, which have become darker with age, I have spent a very long time and a lot of money finding out what really works.
