You will need for 1 glass:
1 sugar lump cube
2 – 3 ice cubes
2 drops Angostura bitters
1 slice fresh lemon rind
about 4 drops Pernod
gin
1 Put the lump sugar into an old-fashioned glass.
2 Pour the bitters on to the sugar.
3 Add the Pernod and swill the mixture around the glass.
4 Put in the ice cubes and pour the gin over the ice.
5 Stir gently, squeeze the lemon rind over the drink and serve.
