New Orleans Dry Martini Cocktail

You will need for a single glass:

5-6 ice cubes
2 tablespoons dry French vermouth
2-3 drops Pernod
7-8 tablespoons gin

1 Put the ice cubes into a glass jug.
2 Pour the Pernod over the ice.
3 Pour in the vermouth and gin.
4 Stir (dont shake) vigorously and evenly without splashing.
5 Strain and pour into a chilled martini glass.
