After a recent beauty blogger meet up, I was given some sample products to try. Never one to let a cosmetic product go to waste, today I am trying Eco Lipstick from the Green People in a Cinnamon shade.
The Eco Lipstick is certified as organic and the rich colour comes from minerals rather than the use of carmine. On looking at the ingredients, it is nice to see natural ingredients such as coconut oil and jojoba oil as well as my favourite, peppermint oil. The peppermint oil seems to give this lipstick its kick. Upon application there is slight tingling sensation, not dissimilar to that found in products designed to temporarily increase lip volume. I am not sure whether that is an intended consequence, or whether the tingle is just the lips reacting to the peppermint. Either way, it is not unpleasant.
The colour coverage is not too intense and the consistency of the bullet was not as dry as I was expecting, and therefore I was pleasantly surprised.
For those wanting a natural product with organic contents and attention paid to recycled packaging, then the Eco Lipstick is certainly one to try. Priced at under £12 on the Green People website, the Eco Lipstick won’t break the bank.
